IFG owns the most advanced and extensive range of micro-tunneling equipment in U.A.E., with the capability of installing pipelines with diameters up 3.6m over lengths of up to 1.0Km.
Dubai International Airport Expansion – Phase 3, Upgrade of Stormwater Drainage. This Project included the construction of 2,200m of 3,025mm O.D. stormwater pipeline at depths of 13 to 15m; all under live aircraft taxiways at Dubai International Airport (DIA), Terminal 2. That DIA is one of the busiest airports in the world, connecting to 240 destinations and with 90 million customers annually, indicates the logistical challenges that had to be overcome. The Contractor, International Foundation Group, made 3 drives of 610m, 765m and 825m, all of which were efficiently and successfully excavated by 3,025mm diameter tunnel boring machine (TBM) from the Herrenknecht stable. The TBM performed perfectly and reliably throughout the 3 drives and 2,200 metres of excavation, the best recorded progress being the installation of 10 Nr. 3.0 metre long pipes with 2 shifts in 24 hours. The average progress in the 825 metre long line was 15 metres per day (825m in 55 days).
Al Al Mafraq - Abu Dhabi, IFG installed 3.0m diameter GRP trunk sewers with 47m of ground cover in drive lengths reaching 640m & IFG constructed launch & reception shafts for the same with depths of up to 51m.
In Dubai, IFG has completed installation, by micro-tunneling, of 3.0m stormwater pipelines in sections of up to 850m length.
IFG owns a large fleet of modern & very well maintained Micro-tunneling machines, with necessary support equipment, for installing pipelines with diameters up to 3.6m over distances of up to 1.0Km.
IFG specialized in installation of pipelines and sleeves for sewerage, potable water, storm drainage, district cooling & various cables.
Driven tunnels of diameter 3.0m over a distance of 640m, along with shafts up to 56.0m deep, completed safely with highest standards.
IFG has successfully installed more than 40Km of such services by micro-tunneling.
